Then of course there's the challenge of physically replacing the screen.  Are you comfortable taking the laptop apart?  Do you even know how to do it?  Can you take it apart without breaking anything and then get it back together again?  And what happens if you do it wrong or worse, you've misdiagnosed it completely?
